Well hello there readers, allow me to share a little about myself.
My name is Hannah, i'm an 18 year old student and i'm mad about the media. Ever since I was young all aspects of the media have fascinated me - especially one; journalism. Journalism is not really a subject with which young children are associated yet at the youthful age of 7 I decided to make a newsletter for my family. Sure all of the storys were fictitious but that wasn't the point, I had a thirst for writing, for communicating with others through words. By the age of 11 I'd earned a new accolade; being the only student moniter at my Maths and Computing College (which to anyone else is just a plain boring comprehensive high...) to ever read the newspaper during their 'shift'. This isn't entirely suprising however, as I live in Essex and newspapers are more readily available here for fish and chip packaging than they are for informing oneself on the current affairs of this world in which we are so frivolously placed.
I suppose in the next few years my interest dropped a little, I became more of a consumer than a producer. I say a few years when really it was four, everything seemed to matter again when I started Media Studies GCSE back in 2006.
